Dennis Gunn is the Owner and CEO of D.R.G Construction. He has had years of experience in all phases of Marine Construction since 2002 operating as Dr. Dock. Building Navy Bulkheads, Floating Docks, Ramps, Boat Lifts, etc he is an expert in all phases of Marine Construction.

After Hurricane Irene hit back in 2011 Dennis recognized the lack of options Long Islanders had in terms of fixing their bulkheads to protect themselves from devastating storms. He then formulated a plan and opened up D.R.G. Construction. He’s developed strong relationships with Building Departments and Insurance Companies making the process go as smoothly as it can for his customers. He’s built a very resourceful crew with hard-working ethics that get the job done.

  I recently had a complete bulkhead project. I cannot tell you how happy I am with the results. First of all the crew that Dennis sent out was absolutely fantastic. They answered all my questions and they were professional. They were prompt and the work was all done in a timely fashion. Dennis would show up on the job, discuss any issues with myself and the crew on a daily basis. The price on initial estimate was in the middle of three that I received. In the end, it came out to almost exactly the penny that we discussed, and he went over and beyond the estimate knowing that issues do come up and did not compromise the job for just extra money.   DRG Construction did a relatively large project in my waterfront back yard.  The project involved the installation of a retaining wall around the perimeter of the yard, removal of an existing deck adjacent to the bulkhead and filling the entire yard (approx 5000 sq ft) with fill dirt and top soil to raise the yard and deck by a foot to prevent flooding during high tides.  The deck was raised and re-installed to my satisfaction.  Entire project was completed as per agreement and according to schedule.  I am very pleased with the entire project.

  I used DRG Construction to repair my residential bulkhead which was starting to fail (the deadmen moved and original pilings were rotted at the mudline). They installed new pilings each attached to its own dedicated helical. From the start, every part of dealing with Dennis, his office staff and his workers was professional and courteous. All my phone calls, questions and concerns were answered and addressed prior to signing a contract. The work was started within the timeframe promised and was completed in less time then predicted. They didn't cut corners, I watched everything his crew was doing and it was all completed exactly how it was explained to me if not better.
